2021 RV State Championship Regatta

Please note that subject to the overall number of entries at the regatta it may be necessary to conduct the heats of MO2-, MU232-, MLW2-, MU212-, MO1X, MU231X, MLW1X, MU211X, FO2-, FU232-, FU212-, FO1X, FU2312X, FLW1X, and FU211X, on Friday evening.

These events will be conducted using the Elimination format for the State Championships and will not be conducted using the combined format of prior regattas.

Athletes invited to participate in the MU214+/FU214+ Selection Races for State Youth Selection are advised that the Selection Races will be conducted prior to the commencement of racing and do not form part of the State Championship Regatta.

For clarity, the winning crew in the Selection Race will not be the State Champion. To become the State Champion in the designated boat competitors must enter and race either the MU214+, or FU214+.

 

Attendee QR code registration

All regatta attendees must register their attendance at each regatta via QR code either prior or upon entry.

    • If the regatta is a multi-day event you must register each day you attend.
    • The QR code is availble in the documents section at the bottom of the page and on posters throughout the regatta venue.
    • Please note that each regatta will have its own QR code and you must use the relevant QR code for the regatta you are attending.

IMPORTANT NEW COVID REGATTA MEASURES

 

  • Each school and club spectator enclosure will be required to be separated by fencing and spectators will not be permitted to access:
    • The Athlete Zone.
    • Other school/club enclosures.

 

  • Each spectator enclosure will have a maximum capacity of attendees present at one time.
    • Enclosure signage will indicate maximum capacity numbers for each enclosure and internal sections of each enclosure.
    • Rowing Victoria and regatta hosts will endeavour to provide enclosures of suitable size to avoid spectators missing out however this will be dependent on the size of available land.

 

  • Non family members and spectators will be required to social distance at all times, in particular on the waters edge and under marquees.

 

  • All attendees must register via QR codes prior to or on arrival at each event.

 

  • All spectator groups must have a nominated Marshall present at all times.

 

  • The Spectator Marshall is requested to assist the COVID Marshall and event staff to ensure their school/club is adhering to all COVID Measures.
  • The spectator Marshall must wear a Hi-Vis vest provided by Rowing Victoria at all times so they can be identified by the Event COVID Marshall.

 

  • Spectator marquees must be set up at the rear of each spectator site and be staggered from the school/club spectator tent beside you.
    • Sites will be marked within each enclosure.

 

  • A $5 spectator entry ticket has been introduced to support regatta hosts, manage the increased infrastructure, security and cleaning requirements.
    • Tickets can be purchased from each individual Regatta page.
    • We ask that you please purchase tickets prior to arriving at regattas to avoid congestion at entry points.
    • Athletes, Coaches and Children under the age of 12 will not be required to purchase a spectator ticket.

 

Attendee COVID-19 regatta checklist

  • Do not attend regattas if:
       o You are unwell or show any COVID-19 symptoms.
       o You have recently visited a COVID hot spot
       o You are required to self-isolate.

 

  • All regatta attendees must register their attendance at each regatta via QR code.
    • If the regatta is a multi-day event you must register each day you attend
    • The QR code will be available on the event page and on posters throughout the regatta venue.
    • Please note that each regatta will have its own QR code and you must use the relevant QR code for the regatta you are attending.

 

  • Social distancing
    • Keep 1.5m distance from others at all time where possible.
    • Density limits of 1 person per 2 square metres under marquees will be enforced and monitored by the Regatta COVID Marshalls. If you are unable to provide sufficient marquee space for all of your participants please ensure that those who are not undercover take approprate sun safe measures.

 

  • All attendees must have a mask with them which are to be worn when indoors.

 

  • All attending Clubs/Schools must bring with them a COVID-19 Hygiene station including the following items.
    • Hand sanitiser
    • A water bucket with a disinfectant solution to clean oar handles and shared equipment.

 

  • All attendees to limit movement around the regatta venue.
    • Do not mingle with other Clubs/Schools
    • Do not gather around communal areas such as catering and toilets

 

  • If attendees exhibit symptoms at the regatta
    • Wear a mask
    • Avoid close contact with all other attendees
    • Immediately notify the Regatta Secretary, even if you intend to leave the venue
    • If possible, leave the regatta venue by private transport
      • If not possible an isolation station will be available and the regatta secretary will be able to direct you to its location.
