Change of annual date ~ Still a magnificent venue to come and row.
Now with more time to prepare, we encourage you to save the date Sat 14th Oct or better yet, block out the whole weekend and head east for the 6th Annual Head of the Mitchell / Irish League Regatta
The transit lane for the Head Race to increase rowtime and decrease downtime will once again be in place. The BRC Committee has recently had the local company Buoyage Systems Australia, come on board as a sponsor to provide a safe and high class buoyed course with more visible distance markers and signage for competitors.
First Boats (Singles) Launch: 10:30am
Head Race Starts: 11am
Irish League (finals): 1pm
(Optional Sunday training session and / or mock racing from Bairnsdale RC)
All crews will compete in a traditional Head Race.
The times of the crews in the Head race are then used to seed the finals for the Irish League 500m sprints.
The top four fastest boats regardless of boat class will compete in the A Final for the Irish League Total Store Trophy, therefore it is possible Eights could be up against a Quad, Double or Single, hence the name Irish League.
When accepting the RA Whole of Sport Terms, consent is acknowledged for an authorised third party to create, record, reproduce, etc. photographs and electronic images without identification or compensation of any kind. Filming at this regatta is for the purpose of replaying races at the clubs evening entertainment function.

A Tapas style meal will be provided. Replays of the days racing will be continually replayed on the big screen. And for those that think they possess more than rowing talent a Red Faces Rowing Song competition will be held and prizes awarded by popular vote.
Also BRC's major fundraising raffle (see attched info) will be drawn at 7:30pm
